Kuck, Nila H. (Nehrbass) (6 FEB 1928 - 19 NOV 2016)

Nila H. Kuck, 88, Athens, died Saturday November 19, 2016 at Mountain Terrace Assisted Living under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services.

Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday November 23, 2016 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Athens. Rev. Mark Schwalenberg will officiate.

Burial will be in the Athens Lutheran Cemetery. Friends may call today (Tuesday), from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Athens and again on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at the church.

She was born February 6, 1928, in the town of Halsey, daughter of the late Fred and Helen (Thurman) Nehrbass. On June 15, 1946, she married Carl H. Kuck at Trinity Lutheran Church, Athens. He preceded her in death December 25, 1995.

Nila and Carl were dairy farmers in the town of Bern for 33 years, prior to their retirement. Nila was also a sales associate for Home Interiors and Gifts. Among her favorite things to do were gardening and sewing quilts.

Survivors include her children, Nathalie (Dennis) Fladvid, Randall (Kathleen) Kuck and Richard (Julie) Kuck, all of Athens, grandchildren, Jennifer (Kevin) Lipinski, Julie Fladvid, Jacquelyn (Michael) Thurs, Carla (Bradley) Staeben, Jason (Julie) Kuck, Justin (Shannon) Kuck, Jordan Kuck, Jeremy Kuck, a special grandson-in-law, Tom Peter, 13 great grandchildren, Olivia Punke, Carley and Brody Lipinski, Nicholas and Ryanne Peter, Taylor and Anthony Thurs, Kristopher and Lilah Staeben, Alexander Kuck, Mason, Nora and Korbin Kuck and one brother, Eldred (Mavis) Nehrbass, Athens, two sisters-in-law, Olga Kuck and Marion Oldenhoff.

Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Kristopher Kuck and four siblings, Alice Brill, Edna Krasonya, Marie Lange and Wilmer Nehrbass.
