Weinke, Arleen M. (Komarek) (10 NOV 1919 - 30 SEP 2012)

Arleen M. Weinke, age 92, of the Golden Living Center, Rib Lake, passed away on Sunday, September 30 at Golden Living Center, Rib Lake, where she had resided for the past 4 years.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, October 4 at Woodland Community Church, Westboro, with Rev. Brian Karlik, Interment will be at Lakeview Cemetery, Rib Lake.

Honorary pallbearers will be Maddie, Emma and Amy Winter; Dave, Megan, Chelsea, Gracie and Cody Weinke; active pallbearers will be Todd, Mike, Colter and Noah Weinke; Bob and Austin Winter.

Visitation will be at 9:00 AM until the time of funeral services at 11:00 AM on Thursday, October 4 at Woodland Community Church, Westboro.

Arleen was born on November 10, 1919, at the Town of Johnson, Marathon County, to Frank and Lucia (Vietanhaus) Komarek.

She attended Silver Leaf School in Marathon County.

On June 29, 1940, in the Town of Wein, Marathon County, Arleen married Alfred Weinke. He preceded her in death on February 27, 2001.

In 1944 they moved from Marathon County to the Town of Rib Lake where they farmed for a period of time. She also did home cleaning in the Rib Lake area. In retirement she did volunteer work with Hope Hospice. She enjoyed cooking, baking, canning, sewing, crocheting, painting, the outdoors, gardening, flowers, her dogs and her family. Arleen attended Woodland Community Church, Westboro.

She is survived by a son, Randy (Priscilla) Weinke of Rib Lake; 4 grandchildren, Todd (Paula) Weinke of Rib Lake; Mike (Michelle) Weinke of Medford; Dave (Penny Rodman) Weinke of Rib Lake; and Amy (Bob) Winter of Westboro; 9 great grandchildren, Cody, Colter, Megan, Chelsea, Noah and Gracie Weinke; Austin, Maddie and Emma Winter; 1 great great grandchild, Diesel Bowen; and sibling, Vangel “Birdie” (Earl) Hartwig of Ogema; also surviving are numerous cousins, nephews and nieces.

Arleen is predeceased by her husband Alfred; parents Frank and Lucia (Vietanhaus) Komarek; siblings, Mirella Blasel; and Almira Olwell; Frank, Orval, Laurel “Fats”, and Eugene Komarek.
