Brewster, Wayne L. (3 JUN 1938 - 13 DEC 2012)

Wayne L. Brewster, 74, Edgar, died Thursday, December 13, 2012 at his home, under the care of Ministry Home Care Hospice.

The funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 17, 2012 at St. John Catholic Church, Edgar. Rev. Robert Streveler and Rev. Roy Witucki will preside. Burial will be in Holy Family Cemetery, Poniatowski.

Friends may call on Sunday from 3:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Edgar and again on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until time of services at the church. There will be a prayer service at 6:30 p.m. Sunday evening at the funeral home.

Memorials may be directed to St. Jude's Childrens Hospital.

He was born June 3, 1938 in Grand Rapids, Mich., son of the late John and Ellen (Wiseman) Brewster. On August 8, 1959, he married Judith Riegle in Coleman, Mich. She survives.

Wayne was a veteran of the United States Army and served from 1961 until 1963. He worked his entire life as a dairy farmer and also worked in construction. Among his favorite pastimes, he enjoyed fishing, camping and gardening.

Survivors include, his wife, Judy Brewster, Edgar; four children, Angela Bunkelman, Wausau, Lisa (Bruce) Stein, Madison, Steven (Dee) Brewster, Athens and John (Tonya) Brewster, Edgar; eleven grandchildren; three great grandchildren; five siblings, Gary (Susan) Brewster, St. Augustine, Fla., Roland Brewster, Poway, Cal., Vivian (Mark) Pifher, Coleman, Mich., Dean ("Cookie") Brewster, Midland, Mich. and Ellen (Steve) Sibbitt, Salado, Tex.; and many nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by three half brothers and one half sister.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Adedayo Onitilo and the staff at Marshfield Clinic and Ministry Home Care Hospice, for all their prayers and support for Wayne and his family.
