Brinkman, Geraldine "Geri" R. (Radke) (10 JUL 1932 - 23 NOV 2011)

Geraldine "Geri" R. Brinkman, 79, Edgar, died Wednesday, November 23, 2011 at Aspirus Hospice House, Wausau.

Memorial services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 26, 2011 at St. Stephen Ev. Lutheran Church, Edgar. Rev. LaDonna Ekern will officiate. Friends may call Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until time of services at the church.

She was born July 10, 1932 in the town of Stettin, daughter of the late Herman and Florence (Denfield) Radke. On November 29, 1947, she married Donald Brinkman in Edgar. He survives.

Geri worked for the Edgar Public School District in food service for 25 years until her retirement. She was a longtime member of St. Stephen Ev. Lutheran Church, Edgar and was involved in many church activities. Among her favorite pastimes, she enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening, flowers, traveling and spending time at the family cottage on Lost Lake in St. Germain.

Survivors include, her husband, Donald Brinkman, Edgar; four children, Pam (Tom) Pietrowski, Norma (Robert) Nowak, Steven Brinkman and Todd (Ellen) Brinkman, all of Edgar; nine grandchildren, Terry Lynn Pietrowski, Scott (Elizabeth) Pietrowski, Tom Jr. (Tiffany) Pietrowski, Amanda (Rick) Seubert, Steven (Jessica) Brinkman, Bobbi Jo (William) Schara, Jacob Brinkman, Michael (Crystal) Brinkman-Krakas and Aurora Brinkman-Krakas; nine great grandchildren, Maggie, Kenny, Vanesse, Richie, Nathan, Piper, Parker, Paxton and Addyson; and two brothers, Bernell (Geraldine) Radke and Henry Radke, both of Wausau.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Roland Radke.
