Miss Merry Kubera, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Kubera, Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.), route 3, became the bride of Barry Berdal, son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Berdal, Thorp, route 1, in a noon ceremony Saturday, September 28, 1968 in Thorp.

Sister Carol was the organist and Miss Judith Kubera, vocal soloist.

Miss Kathleen Kubera, Thorp, was her sister's maid of honor. Other attendants were Miss Sharon Kubera, Thorp, aunt of the bride, and Miss Judith Kosar, from Stanley.

Randy Berdal was best man for his brother, and Brad Gilbertson and Roger Kubera, brother of the bride, were the other attendants. Guests were seated by Mr. Dobrzynski from Thorp.

The flower girl, Nancy Slowiak, from Stanley, the groom's cousin, wore a white lace and satin gown styled like that of the attendants.

A reception and dance were held at the Thorp Legion Hall.

After a wedding trip to Eau Claire, Mr. and Mrs. Berdal will make their home in Ladysmith. Both are graduates of Thorp High School. The bridegroom attended North Central Technical Institute for two years and is employed by Thorp Finance in Ladysmith.
