Bogumill, Frances E. (2 NOV 1968)

St. Bernard's Catholic Church, Thorp, was the scene for the marriage of Frances E. Bogumill and Robert T. Wargolet on Saturday, November 2nd, 1968. Father Francis Brockman performed the eleven a.m. marriage ceremony and Nuptial Mass. Colleen Herman sang a solo at communion, during the wedding Mass, and another as the bride presented a bouquet at the Blessed Virgin's altar.

Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Ed. L. Bogumill and Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Wargolet, both of Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.).

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore an A-line empire waist floor length gown styled with long sleeves, pointed at the waist, and scalloped lace with pearls in the front panel. A pearl and lace crown held her full length veil, forming its own train, and small blusher veil attached. White satin shoes and a cascade bouquet of white bridal roses completed her ensemble.

Mrs. Ruth Somers was her sister's matron of honor, and bridesmaids were: Miss Dorothy Lato, cousin of the bride, and Miss Iris Christensen, niece of the bride. They wore A-line empire waist, floor length gowns styled with bell shaped sleeves and Kelly green velvet bodices and mint green crepe skirts. They also all wore velvet crown headpieces with green shoes and single pearl earrings. They each carried 2 long stem red roses with Kelly green ribbon streamers.

Attending the groom as best man was Stanle Wargolet, brother of the groom. Groomsmen were Michael Bogumill, brother of the bride, and Arthur Balicki, cousin of the groom. Ushers were James Somers, brother-in-law of the bride, and Ray Mamayek, cousin of the groom.

A dinner and dance were held for 300 guests at St. Hedwig's Quonset Hall.

The bride, a 1964 graduate of Thorp High School, is a reservationist with Northwest Airlines, and the groom, also a 1964 graduate of Thorp High School, is a machine repairman with Briggs and Stratton.

The new couple will be at home at 8936 W. Lynx, Milwaukee.
