Hazuga, Marlene A. (11 OCT 1969)

Yellow and bronze football mums decorated the altar of St. Bernard’s Catholic Church, Thorp, Wisconsin, as wedding vows were exchanged by Miss Marlene A. Hazuga, St. Paul, Minn., and Mr. Ivan E. Muetzel, Minneapolis, Minnesota, during a High Mass at twelve o’clock noon on Saturday, October 11, 1969. Father Francis Brockman performed the ceremony.

Parents of the couple are Mr. John Hazuga, Thorp (Clark Co.), Wis., and Mr. and Mrs. Erich Muetzel, Renville, Minn.

The bride was escorted down the aisle by her brother, john, wearing a full length satin and lace gown with a chapel length train. She carried a bouquet of yellow roses, stephanotis and ivy.

Miss Brita Solem, Madison, Wis., was maid of honor, and Miss Judy Knapf of St. Paul, Minn., was bridesmaid. Both are friends of the bride. Olive green empire waist gowns of velvet and satin were worn by both attendants. They carried bouquets of gold and bronze mums.

Mr. Larry Briet Kreutz, brother-in-law of the groom, was best man. Groomsman was Mrs. Jerry Hazuga, brother of the bride.

Ushers were Mr. Bill Risinger, brother-in-law of the bride, and Mr. Lowell Luske, brother-in-law of the groom.

Following the ceremony a dinner and reception were held at the American Legion Hall with one hundred and fifteen guests in attendance.

Following a wedding trip to northern Wisconsin and Minnesota, the couple are making their home at 5817 Hillside Lane, Cottage Grove, Minn.
