Miss Kathleen Haas, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wilfred Haas of Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.), and James Kobylarczyk of Rockford, Illinois, son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Kobylarczyk, Thorp, were married at St. Hedwig’s Chapel at 1:30 p.m. on October 4, 1969. The double ring ceremony was performed by Father Matzek. The nuptial Mass was sung by Joseph Possley. The offertory gifts were presented to the bride and groom by cousins of the bride, Denise and dawn Soborowicz. The altar boys were cousins of the groom, Roger and Ron Kobylarczyk. The altar was decorated with baskets of white and yellow Fuji mums.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a floor length gown with hand clipped scalloped Chantilly lace, in an empire line with redingote effect, over peau that swept into a Watteau chapel train. Her veil fell from a crown of crystals and Chantilly lace. She carried a bouquet of white Fuji mums with bittersweets.

Miss Cathy Kobylarczyk, sister of the groom, was maid of honor. Miss Mary has, sister of the bride, and Miss Karen Bandor, friend of the bride, were bridesmaids. The maid of honor wore gold and the bridesmaids wore avocado georgette over taffeta, with pleated skirts and velvet trim. They wore Malibu fur headpieces to match. Each carried bouquets of yellow and bronze Fuji mums and wood roses.

Mr. John Krieg, friend of the groom, was best man, and the groomsmen were Robert Kobylarczyk, brother of the groom, and Richard Lesniewski, cousin of the groom.

Ushers were Mike Kobylarczyk, brother of the groom, and Phil Ciolkosz, uncle of the bride.

The bride’s mother wore a gold and off white brocade dress with matching accessories. The groom’s mother wore a two piece dress of turquoise shantung with matching accessories. They wore corsages of Fuji mums with bittersweet.

A reception and dinner were held at St. Hedwig’s Quonset for 350 guests.

The bride was a graduate of the Thorp High School and was employed as an IBM operator at the Thorp Finance Corporation. The groom also graduated from Thorp High School and completed a course at Wausau Technical School. He is employed in Rockford, Illinois at the Barber Colergan Company as a process engineer.

Out of town guests were from Bartlett, Wheeling, Wheaton, Rockford, Illinois, and Mosinee, Milwaukee, Manitowoc, Sheboygan, Wausau, Chippewa Falls, Ridgeland, Wisconsin, Davenport Iowa, Indiana and Washington.
