Fleischman, Joseph Sr. (26 JAN 1859 - JUL 1925)

Joseph Fleischman, for almost forty years a resident of Taylor County, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Frank Gruener. He was sixty-six years old.

Mr. Fleischmann was married here the month of his arrival. Mrs. Fleischman died in 1916.

He was born in Bavaria, January 26, 1859. He came to America on April 12, 1888, coming direct to Medford. He lived in town for two years and the balance of his thirty-seven years here was spent on the farm.

He leaves six children, Mrs. Mary Hardig; Mrs. Tressie Reinhardt; Mrs. Frieda Arenia; all of Kenosha; and Mrs. Anna Rabettke; Mrs. Fannie Gruener; and Joseph Fleischmann Jr.; all of Medford. There are nineteen grandchildren.

He was a member of the Bavarian Verrlin and was a member of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church.

Services will be in charge of Reverend Father Reuter. Burial will be in the Catholic Cemetery, located east of Medford.

The funeral will be held at the church Friday morning at 9:00 o'clock, and leaving the house at 8:00 o'clock.
