John Schluenz died Friday morning at the home of his daughter, Mrs. H. Prehn. He was over seventy years old and had been quite feeble all winter, but the immediate cause of his death was gangrene, which came from a sore on one of his toes. He is survived by two sons and four daughters all of whom were present at the funeral except one. The funeral was held at the Lutheran church Monday afternoon, Rev. Imm officiating. Mr. Schluenz had been a resident of Spencer many years.
