Pound, Sharon A. (Hosley) (5 NOV 1943 - 30 MAY 2017)

Sharon A. Pound, 73, of Medford, passed away Tuesday May 30, 2017 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.

Sharon was born November 5, 1943 to Donald and Ruby (Miller) Hosley. Donald passed away during his military service when Sharon was an infant. Ruby later married Robert Usack and they lovingly raised her. She is a graduate of Gilman High School. Sharon married Art Pound on December 18, 1971. He preceded her in death May 8, 2003.

Sharon was very involved at Community United Church of Christ in Medford. She served on the Church Council, and had been the church secretary and bookkeeper. She was also a member of the Candelight Guild and Prayer Shawl Group.

Sharon had a true green thumb, and was passionate about gardening. She was very proud of her perennial beds. She also enjoyed birdwatching.

Sharon is survived by her beloved significant other: Denny Moe of Medford, Children: Michelle (Blake) Bucki and Bill (Bobbi Jo Dassow) Pound of Medford, Grandchildren: Christopher Retterath of Eagen, MN, Michael (Victoria Krzykowski) Retterath of Milladore, Logan Bucki of Medford, Lindsey Bucki of Lacrosse, and Wyatt Juneau of Medford, Great Grandchildren: Emmee Juneau, Lilian Bucki and Sage Retterath, Brother Larry Usack of Bonduel, Uncle Ken Miller of Barron, Nephew Nikolai Usack and Great Niece Helena Usack of Milwaukee and numerous cousins.

She is preceded in death by her Parents, Husband, Daughter Laurie Retterath, and most recently her Sister in Law Lovely Usack.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday June 2, 2017 at Community United Church of Christ in Medford. Pastor Mary Jo Laabs will officiate. Visitation will be held at church from 9:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00.

Memorial gifts in honor of Sharon can be given to her family for designation at a later date.
Hemer Funeral Service of Medford and Rib Lake has been entrusted with arrangements.
