Meihak, Clara (19 MAR 1900 – 16 DEC 1972)

Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Pine Valley Lutheran Church for Mrs. William Meihak, 72, 100 East Division Street, Neillsville (Clark Co., Wis.), who died early Saturday at Memorial Hospital. The Rev. Richard Eggen, Granton, officiated, and burial took place in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Meihak, the former Clara Durst, was born March 19, 1900, in Clark County, and received her education in the town of Pink Valley. She was married on June 21, 1922, in the town of Pink Valley, to William Meihak, and they operated a farm until 1968, when they moved to the city.

She was a member of the Pine Valley Lutheran Church, and its Ladies Aid, and the Hilltop Homemakers Club.

Survivors include her husband, two daughters, Mrs. Harold (Margaret) Rickwood, Cottage Grove, Minn., and Mrs. Wendel (Lorraine) Storm, Sheboygan; one son, Robert, St. Paul, Minn.; her step-mother, Mrs. Klara Durst, Augusta; one sister, Mrs. Neoma VandeBerg, Springfield, Oregon; three brothers, Walter and Arno Durst, Neillsville, and Alvin Durst, Plymouth; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
