Gall, Gary B. (13 DEC 1935 - 12 JUN 2017)

Gary B. Gall, age 81, of Athens, passed away on Monday, June 12, 2017 at Dycora Transitional Health and Living in Abbotsford. A Memorial Gathering will be held at the Landmark Bar in Athens on Saturday, June 24, 2017 from 1:00 until 4:00 p.m.

Gary was born on December 13, 1935, the son of Bernard and Marie (Kaage) Gall. He was united in marriage to Joyce Mazola and they later divorced.

Gary worked as a radio announcer at stations in Medford, Neillsville and Ashland. He also worked at various print shops in Elk Grove, IL. Most recently, Gary tended bar and cooked at the Owl's Club in Athens for over 25 years. He enjoyed fishing and watching the Packers, Brewers and Cubs.

Gary is survived by his significant other, Patti Bernitt of Athens; three children: Michelle Garner of AZ, Valerie (Todd) Menke of IL and Christopher (Pam) Gall of KY; seven grandchildren: Randy, Chrissy, Chris Jr., Kim, David, Steve and Danielle; 12 great-grandchildren and a son-in-law, Charles Ball.

He is further survived by three step-children: Sheryl, Kathy and Pam; his sister, Virginia Schaefer of Colby; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Lisa Ball; his grandson, Kenny; his sister, Delores (Nibbs) Bunkelman and a brother-in-law, Arnold Schaefer.

The Gall family would like to thank the staff at Dycora Living Center in Abbotsford for the great care Gary received the past three months.
