West Eaton (22 May 1919)

The masons are at work on George Gemmeke’s new barn.

Mrs. Borgers called at Bostwick’s Tuesday.

The Susa girls are enjoying a fine new piano.

Miss Sarah Cole closed her school in West Eaton last Tuesday. It was a very successful term and we are glad to announce that Miss Cole did her duty as teacher.

Mrs. A. Borgers and Mrs. H. Bostwick and son, Lyle, spent Tuesday evening at Mrs. Davey’s.

There was a meeting of officers at Mr. Oznich’s Tuesday evening to plan work for the new Clover Leaf factory.

Carl Davey is helping Geo. Gemmeke on his new barn.

Mr. Sharp was a caller at the Borgers home one day last week.

Mr. and Mrs. Joe Susa, Jr., and son, Robt., and Sophia Waseca spent Sunday with the home folks.

Paul Susa of Globe visited the home folks Sunday.

Joe Arch called at Bostwick’s Friday evening.

Lyle Bostwick took in the show at Greenwood Saturday evening.

Mr. and Mrs. Len Algerter of Greenwood were callers at Bostwick’s Sunday afternoon.

We are sorry to say that Mrs. Davey is not much better at this writing.

Jason Bostwick and lady friends called at home last Sunday.

H. Bostwick hauled a load of lumber out from Greenwood Friday for Lou Dimler’s new barn.

Mr. Oznich hauled out a load of shingles for the new factory Saturday.

H. Bostwick did some logging for Joe Arch Saturday.

Annie Waseca spent Sunday with Mrs. L. Dimler.

Gertrude Davey spent Sunday with Victor Bahl.

Mrs. M. Bahl left Tuesday for Hortonville to visit relatives.

John Schmidt visited at Hugo Lenz’s Sunday.

Mr. and Mrs. Lakotick and children spent Sunday at Mr. Pieuk’s.

Mrs. Gemmeke and Mrs. H. Bostwick and daughter, Iola, and Mrs. Murlak and Mrs. Meyers spent a few hours with Mrs. Davey Sunday afternoon.

Mr. Yartz and Mr. Persin worked at the new factory Monday.

Lyle Bostwick called at his brother, Charles Bostwick’s, Sunday evening.

Ben Stanley helped do some work for Geo. Gemmeke Thursday.
