Mueller, Hilda (Bluhm) (15 JUL 1923 - 27 JUL 2017)

Hilda Mueller, age 94, of Marshfield, formerly of Abbotsford, moved to Heaven surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, July 27, 2017 at Stoney River Assisted Living in Marshfield.

A Funeral Service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, July 31, 2017 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Milan. Rev. Jeffrey A. Lambrecht will officiate. Interment will be held in Abbotsford Public Cemetery. Family and friends are welcome from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 30 at Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home in Abbotsford and from 12:00 noon until time of service Monday at the church.

Hilda was born on July 15, 1923, the daughter of Henry and Cora (Scheunemann) Bluhm, Sr. in the Town of March Rapids. She attended schools in the Town of Eau Pleine. Hilda worked as a maid in Wausau prior to marriage. She was united in marriage to Elmer Mueller on September 18, 1940 at St. John’s American Lutheran Church. He preceded her in death on October 10, 2010. Together they farmed in the Town of Frankfort. They retired from farming in 1978 and moved to Abbotsford where she worked as a baker at Kramer's IGA until 1990.

Hilda was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Milan and was active in the Ladies Aid. She also enjoyed making crafts and gardening.

Hilda is survived by her two sons: Francis (Marilynn) Mueller of Marshfield, Larry "Chip" (Carol) Mueller of Colby; her four daughters: Bernadine (Jim) Kempf of Waupaca, Bonnie (Kenneth) Kloth of Merrill, Beverly (Paul) Comer of Jones, MI and Kristine (Carol) Mueller of Marshfield; eight grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter. She is further survived by one sister, Lorraine Speck of Mississippi; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Elmer; her brothers: Henry Jr., Arthur, Otto, Edward, Lawrence and Herbert; her sisters, Esther Smolke and Viola Nening; her granddaughter, Angela Case; her grandson, Billy Mueller and her son-in-law, Ernie Williams.

Memorials will be given to Bethlehem Lutheran Church.
