Hoem, Steven E. (7 April 1954 – 23 August 2017)

Steven E. Hoem, passed away peacefully Wednesday, Aug. 23, 2017, at Clark County Rehab and Living Center in Owen. Steven was born April 7, 1954, to Archie and Selma (Johnson) Hoem in the Town of Springfield (Jackson County, WI).

He graduated from the Taylor School District in 1975. He lived in rural Taylor, Fairchild, and Owen. Steven was employed at Handishop Industries and Riverfront Inc. for over 20 years. Steven enjoyed spending time with friends, and family, being outdoors, riding bike, animals, and taking walks.

He is survived by his brother, Allen (Renae) Hoem of Rochester, MN; sister Bonnie (John) Burdick of Winona, MN; brother Arthur (Camille) Hoem of Black River Falls, and sister Sharon Vantreese of New Lisbon; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great nephews, and great-great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Archie and Selma Hoem, sister Barb, brother-in-law Emmett, and nephew Brian Peterson.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 2, 2017, at Torgerson’s Funeral Home in Black River Falls. Burial will follow at Upper Beaver Creek Church Cemetery in rural Ettrick.

Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 2, 2017, until the time of services at the funeral home.

Torgerson’s Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
