Stroinski, Edith (27 JUN 1970)

Miss Edith Stroinski, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward J. Stroinski, Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.), and Mr. Edward Nowicki, son of Mr. and Mrs. Anthony Nowicki, Gilman, were united in holy matrimony on June 27, 1970. Reverend Anthony Matla performed the 10:00 a.m. ceremony at St. Mary's Polish National Catholic Church, Lublin. Assisting the priest were altar boys, Allen Stroinski and Robert Ogurek. Mr. Al Ciolkosz, Thorp, as organist, accompanied Mrs. Clarence Lewan on several solos during the ceremony, and Miss Judy Stroinski, sister of the bride, sang "The Lord's Prayer."

The bride entered the church on the arm of her father wearing a full hoop floor length gown of rice paper and Chantilly lace. The gown was trimmed with a high neckline and lon glace lady bishop sleeves. The skirt had tiers of lace down the front, giving it an apron effect. A detachable should chapel train was trimmed with Chantilly lace. Her headpiece was a petal of organza and Chantilly lace with pearl and sequin trim, with a bouffant silk illusion veil. She carried a bouquet of white stephanotis, carnations and pompoms with green accents.

Maid of honor was Miss Judy Stuesser, friend of the bride. Bridesmaids were Miss Judy Stroinski, sister of the bride; Mrs. Jan DeWitt, sister of the groom; Miss Jan Petchel, friend of the bride; Miss Diane Ogurek, cousin of the bride; and junior bridesmaid was Miss Teri Nowicki, sister of the groom. Miniature bride was Miss Michele Gessler, niece of the bride. The bridesmaids wore yellow floor length gowns of bonded lace with long yellow chiffon puffed sleeves. All wore yellow net hats accented with white daisies and carried leaf-shaped bouquets of yellow and white daisies, accented with white ribbon. The miniature bride was attired the same as the bride and carried flowers like the bride's bouquet.

Dennis Kauk, friend of the groom, served as best man. Groomsmen were Steve Nowicki, brother of the groom; Roger DeWitt, brother-in-law of the groom; Dan Stroinski, brother of the bride; Ted Wojtowicz, cousin of the groom; junior groomsman was Louis Nowicki, brother of the groom. Ushers were Thomas Gessler, brother-in-law of the bride; and Ron White, cousin of the groom.

A reception, dinner, and dance were held at the Quonset Hall.

Guests were from Illinois – Chciago, Park Ridge, Willow Springs, Summit, Niles, Franklin Park; Minnesota – Minneapolis; Wisconsin – Milwaukee, Necedah, Nekoosa, Grafton, Juneau, Madison, Wausau, Thorp, Abbotsford, Tigerton, Eau Claire, Withee, and Stanley.

After a four-day honeymoon at Isle Royale, Michigan, the couple now resides at 7349 W. 59th St., Summit, Illinois 60501.
