Baldeschwiler, Janet M. (19 SEP 1970)

St. Hedwig's Chapel, Thorp, was the scene of the marriage of Janet M. Baldeschwiler and Robert F. Lesniewski on Saturday, September 19, 1970. Father William Matzek performed the 1:30 p.m. nuptial mass and marriage ceremony.

Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Ray Baldeschwiler and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Lesniewski, all of Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.).

The bride, given in marriage by her parents, wore a white silk organza gown styled with scoop neckline and empire bodice, with short sleeves. Alencon lace detailed the font of the bodice, the sleeves and train which fell gracefully from the back. A crown of Chantilly lace with pearl trim held her elbow length veil of silk illusion. She carried a bouquet of white roses and stephanotis with pink ribbon streamers.

Mrs. Marge Harrington was her sister's matron of honor, and bridesmaids were: Miss Kris Kojis, friend and the bride, and Mary Ann Lesniewski, sister of the groom. They wore floor length dresses of violet crepe, styled collarless front seam interest and slight lowered round necklines with elbow length sleeves. Each carried bouquets of pink miniature carnations, white daisy mums with velvet ribbon streamers, and wore pink miniature carnations for headpieces.

Richard Lesniewski was his brother's best man, and groomsmen were: Kermit Frazier, friend of the groom, and Michael Kobylarczyk, cousin of the groom. Ushers were Leo Sondgeroth and George Possley, cousins of the bride and groom, respectively.

A dinner was held at the American Legion Hall, Thorp.

The bride attended Thorp High School and Stout State University, and is employed as a psychiatric aide at Eau Claire County Hospital. The groom attended Thorp High School and Eau Claire State University. They will make their home at 716 W. Grand Avenue, Eau Claire, Wisconsin.
