Stuner, Victor Jacob* (25 APR 1914 - 22 JAN 1997)

Victor Stuner, 82, Jump River area resident, died Wednesday, January 22, at Rusk County Memorial Hospital in Ladysmith.

Gilman Funeral Home in Gilman assisted the family with arrangements.

Funeral services were held Saturday, January 25, at Jump River Community Center in Jump River with Paul Nagel officiating. The body was cremated.

Victor Stuner was born April 25, 1914, in the Town of McKinley, to Peter and Katherine (Latz) Stuner. He married Katherine Trester on June 26, 1941, on the home farm. They farmed for many years until his retirement.

Survivors include his wife, Katherine of Jump River; six sons, James and Brian (Terri), both of Gilman, Mark and Darrel, both of Sheldon, Dale of Ladysmith, and Calvin (Sharon) of Thorp; a daughter, Karen (Bill) Tuma of Ladysmith; two brothers, Albert (Betty) of Racine and Leo (Helen) of Edmore, Mich.; four sisters, Kity (Bob) Gerberding of Ladysmith, Lena Carpenter of Neillsville, Mary (Don) Griffey of Denver, Colo., and Helen McMann of Texas; and six grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one son Allan; three brothers, Peter, John and Andrew; and one sister, Susan McElmurry.
