Morris, Everet Junior (28 MAR 1931 - 24 FEB 2007)

Everet Junior Morris, age 75, of Hannibal, Wis., passed away on February 24, 2007 at St. Joseph's Hospital Palliative Care Unit, Marshfield, Wis.

A memorial service was held on Saturday, March 24, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at the New Hope Presbyterian Church, Hannibal, with Pastor Bradley Carloss officiating.

Plombon Funeral Service assisted the family with arrangements.

Everet was born March 28, 1931 in Hannibal, the son of Evert and Estel (McDanel) Morris. He grew up in the Hannibal area and attended area schools. After receiving his GED he worked out west for a short time and then entered the United States Air Force in November of 1949 in Eugene, Ore. and began his training at Lackland Air Force Base and Sheppard Air Force Base in Texas. He was first based out of Lockbourene Air Force Base in Columbus, Ohio and then Norton Air Force Base in San Bernadino, Calif. He was a master sergeant and his specialty was aircraft mechanics. He retired from the United States Air Force on May 31, 1972 with 22 1/2 years of service.

After retirement he worked for a roofing company under government contract. In 1953 he was united in marriage to Reva Dan Kale and raised six children and then divorced. In 1972 he married Nickie Faren and raised four more children, residing in Wisconsin and California. In the summer of 1996 he moved back to Wisconsin and resided in the Medford/Jump River area since.
He enjoyed his horses, fishing, old western movies and a number of his old Ford Mustangs.

Everet is survived by his wife Nickie of Turlock, Calif.; nine children, Retha Nelson of Inver Grove Heights, Minn., Sharon (Dan) Olson, Marie (Bruce) Albers and Barbara (Greg) Ackeret, all of Medford, WI., James Morris of Minneapolis, Minn., Sherie (Gary) Mendes of Hilmar, Calif., Jeffery Morris of Jump River, WI., Randy Morris of Turlock, and Deborah (Adrian) Silveira of Hilmar; 20 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Dora Mae Hendricks and Effie (Ivan) Webster, both of Gilman, and Wanda Dillon of West Virginia; a brother, Glenn (Joan) Morris of Gilman; a brother-in-law, Stanley Webster; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Carol Hedlund; a brother, Robert Morris; and four sisters, Mary Kloos, Marie Bergant, and Betty Webster.
