Kaiser, Mildred Mary “Millie” (Jaros) (21 MAY 1916 - 11 FEB 2018)
Mildred Mary “Millie” Kaiser, 101, Phillips, Town of Emery, died in the Aspirus
Pleasant View Nursing Home in Phillips while under the care of her family and
Flambeau Home Health and Hospice.
She was born in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania, on May 21, 1916, the daughter of Frank
and Mary Jaros. She worked as a mother’s helper and housemaid in Oklahoma City
and Kansas, and then later moved to the Town of Emery where she met her future
husband, Frank. She was married to Frank Kaiser Jr. in Phillips on September 2,
1943. She was a member of Saint Patrick Catholic Church in Phillips, and later
of Saint Therese of Lisieux Catholic Church.
In her free time she enjoyed reading poetry, embroidery, neighborhood social
activities, writing long letters to family and friends, and in later years
enjoyed word search puzzles. She had been nominated as Woman of the Year for the
State of Wisconsin.
She is survived by one daughter, Marianne Kerner, Phillips; by one son, Thomas
(Terri), Park Falls; by 11 grandchildren, Marigene (Dar), Susan (Dan), Elaine
(Ron), Brian, Kevin (Kerry), Steven (Sylvia), Karen (Greg), Allen (Sue),
Charlene, Bill (Holly), and Tom (Kris); by 11 great grandchildren; and by one
great great grandson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank, on September 14, 1975; and is
also preceded in death by brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, February 22, at Saint
Therese of Lisieux Catholic Church in Phillips with Father Gerald Hagen
celebrating the Funeral Mass. Interment will be in the Emery Cemetery in the
Town of Emery. Friends may call at the church on Thursday from 10:00 A.M. until
the time of services.
Pallbearers at the services will be Brian Kerner, Kevin Kerner, Steven Kerner,
Allen Kerner, Greg Denzine, and Tom Kaiser.
