Granton FFA (Organize Alumni - November 1974)

Thirty-two former members of the Granton FFA attended a meeting at the Granton High School last week and organized an alumni group.

Elected officers were: Richard Eibergen, president, Bud Schier, vice president; Rodney Dix, secretary; and Ronald Garbisch, treasurer.

The group now plans to send invitational letters to join to all former graduates and apply for their National Charter in February at a dinner meeting.

The aims and purposes of the group is to support and promote the local FFA organization, its activities and vocational agriculture in the area.

The officers will have a constitution drawn up for adoption at a meeting in February. The group will meet several times a year and will have a program of activities.

The Alumni association is part of a national drive that already has over 10,000 members. Those present at the Granton meeting expressed the view that, “this is a wonderful opportunity to help our local youth and coordinate their activities in the community.”
