Sanfelippo, Michael J. (26 DEC 1939 - 24 MAY 2018)

Michael J. Sanfelippo, 78, Unity, died on Thursday, May 24, 2018 in the Emergency Room of Marshfield Medical Center.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am on Friday, June 1, 2018 at Christ the Catholic Church, Spencer, with Rev. Samuel Martin officiating. Rembs Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Michael was born on December 26, 1939 in Milwaukee, to Michael L. and Genevieve (Gagliano) Sanfelippo. He was a graduate of Marquette University, Milwaukee, where he received Liberal Arts and Med Tech degrees as well as a Masters degree in Pathology. After his education he worked at various hospitals in the Milwaukee area. Most recently Mike had been Director of Coagulation at Marshfield Clinic until his retirement in 2016. He enjoyed gardening, hunting and fishing.

He married Nancy D. Stolz on June 3, 1967 in Milwaukee.

Mike is survived by his wife, Nancy, and their children, Andrew Sanfelippo, Anne (Jeff) Hatton, and Allison Sanfelippo, and a daughter-in-law, Kristi Sanfelippo. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren: Caroline and Lauren Sanfelippo; and Brian, Kevin and Mara Hatton. He is further survived by a brother, Peter (Cecelia) Sanfelippo.

He was predeceased by his parents and a son, Anthony.

Memorials may be designated in his name to the American Heart Association.
