Miller, Karen H. (21 SEP 1973)
The daughter of Mrs. Emily T. Miller and the late Albert J. Miller, West Allis,
exchanged vows with Tracy L. Hansen, son of Mr. and Mrs. Emil A. Hansen, Withee
(Clark Co., Wis.), in Nashua, Iowa, at the "Little Brown Church in the Vale" on
Friday, September 21, 1973.
The maid of honor was Sandra Dunn, West Allis, co-worker and good friend.
Bridesmaids were Karen Karpinski, Hales Corners, also a co-worker and friend,
and junior bridesmaid, Donna Lynn Miller, the bride's niece.
The best man was Gerald Lester, and groomsman was Lester Martin, both friends,
and junior groomsman was Greg Selin, the bride's nephew.
For those attending the wedding, a dinner followed. The reception was held the
following night, September 22, in New Berlin.
Karen's gown was a white floor length cream puff crepe with a nine inch ruffle,
full train and a brocade bodice, long full sleeves fitted at the wrist. Her veil
was fingertip length with a brocade crown. The attendants wore apricot and white
chiffon long sleeve dresses with wide brimmed apricot picture hats, with white
ribbon. They carried nosegay bouquets. Karen's was a large nosegay bouquet with
red roses, white stephanotis and greens.
Those attending the reception from the Owen-Withee area were: Mr. and Mrs. Emil
A. Hansen, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Williams, Mr. and Mrs. Martin, Keskimaki, Mr. and
Mrs. Frank Smith, and Mr. and Mrs. Joe Karaba.
The bride is a 1963 graduate of Muskego High School and worked at Briggs &
Stratton Corporation. Her husband attended Withee High School. After being
employed for various business in the Owen-Withee area, he moved to Milwaukee in
1966. There he was employed as a driver for Grey Hound Bus Lines. At present he
is employed with Gateway Transportation as an over the road driver.
For their honeymoon the couple spent a week in Nashville, Tennessee.
Karen and Tracy are now making their home in West Allis.
