The class leaders of the 1970 graduating class of Colby High School have been
announce, Doris L. Ballerstein is the Valedictorian and Cheryl K. Gosse, the
Salutatorian.
Doris is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Ballerstein of route 1, Colby.
During her four years of high school, she participated in the activities of the
Colby Masquers Club, the Pep Club and the GAA. She was also a member of the
National Honor Society.
She plans to attend Marathon County campus of the University of Wisconsin, at
Wausau, with a major in Biology.
Cheryl's parents are Mr. and Mrs. Herman Gosse of route 2, Colby (Clark Co.,
Wis.). She too, has been a member of the National Honor Society, the Masquers
Club, and the GAA. She was also a cheerleader and a member of the band.
Cheryl will attend the University of Wisconsin at Madison, where she intends to
major in Medical Technology.
