Wilson, Nellie (17 OCT 1889 – OCT 1974)
Funeral services for Mrs. Nellie Wilson, 85, were held at one o’clock Monday
afternoon from St. Katherine’s Episcopal Church, Owen. Father A. Fraser
officiated at the service, and burial followed at Riverside Cemetery near
Withee.
Pallbearers were Richard Wilson, David Wilson, George Wilson, Vern Capes, Paul
Fricke, and Dennis Wilson.
Mrs. Wilson had been a resident of Owen (Clark Co., Wis.) for 65 years, coming
here in 1910. She was born Nellie Craig on October 17, 1889, at Hatfield,
Jackson County. Her marriage to the late George Wilson took place on September
21, 1907 at Tomah. Mr. Wilson preceded her in death November 25, 1936.
She was a devout member of St. Katherine’s Church and practiced her religious
beliefs in her daily life.
She is survived by four sons, Newell, Clause, and Floyd, all of Owen, and Lloyd,
Spaulding, Michigan; a daughter, Mrs. Vern (Bertha) Capes, Wauwatosa; 19
grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death, in addition to her husband, were three brothers, three
sisters, a son and a daughter.
