Davis, John Wayne (11 July 1963 – 26 February 2020)
John Wayne Davis, age 56, of Neillsville, passed away on Wednesday, February 26,
2020 at his residence.
John was born on July 11, 1963, the son of Walter and Audrey (Kahl) in Madison.
He graduated from Dodgeville High School in 1982. John was united in marriage to
Pamela Morrison on July 24, 1988 at Christ Lutheran Church in Abbotsford.
John worked detasseling corn through high school. He also worked on dairy farms
and hauling milk. Later in life he became a Justice of the Peace. John enjoyed
fishing with his boys and loved playing with his grandchildren.
John is lovingly survived by his wife, Pamela; three children: Melinda (Michael)
Ayres of Stevens Point, Travis Davis of Marshfield, and Garth (Tasha) Davis of
Neillsville; and four grandchildren: Annabelle, Henry, Theodore, and Benni. He
is further survived by his siblings: Sheila Schillinger, Steve Davis, Bonnie
Garfoot, Kerry (Jody) Davis, and Dennis Davis; his father-in-law, Bennie Mootz
and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Walter and Audrey; brother: David;
mother-in-law: Marlene Mootz; and loving companion: Meekah.
A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, March 2, 2020 at the
Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home in Abbotsford. Pastor Don Bruce will officiate.
Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until time of service.
