FFA Present Alumni (Awards - 2014)
Friday night, April 4, was a big night for area FFA and FFA Alumni

Hosted by the FFA Officers, the local chapter welcomed the room full of FFA
Alumni members, current Middle and High School members, and friends and family
before sitting down to a delicious dinner.
During the Awards Banquet portion of the evening, members of the Thorp FFA
Alumni presented two of their prestigious awards—the Farmer of the Year and the
Friend of the Alumni—To two couples from the Thorp area.
Ed Hamel of the Alumni presented Dick and Sharon Hughes with the Farmer of the
Year award—honoring t hem for their combined years’ worth of experience working
on farms, whether they were others’ or their own.
Mike Lewien then took to the podium, presenting Dave Ciolkosz and his wife
Jessica the Friend of Alumni award. Dave, a graduate of Thorp High School, is a
