Kaczmarek, Leon & Lil (Silver – Sep 1973)
On Sunday, September 2, 1973, Mr. and Mrs. Leon Kaczmarek were the guests of
honor at a party hosted by their family in honor of their 25th Wedding
Anniversary. The anniversary cake, which adorned the tale, was one of the lovely
gifts they received for the occasion. They were also the recipients of a corsage
and boutonniere, as were the members of the original wedding party in attendance
for the occasion.
Saturday evening, several friends of Leon and Lil surprised them with a mock
wedding. Music was provided by Marion Sciezor and his Orchestra.
Lil Teclaw and Leon Kaczmarek were united in marriage by the Reverend Francis
Piekarski on September 1, 1948 at St. Hedwig’s Church. Members of the original
wedding party were Marcie (Kinas) McIllrath, Malen Teclaw, Angeline Teclaw, Leon
Pawlak, Dorothy (Kaczmarek) Klicz, Marion Teclaw, Pat (Kinas) Braun, Ed Nieman,
Donna (La Flex) Teclaw, Ray Giwojna, Babe (Kinas) Matzinger, Ray Teclaw, and
Marcie (Teclaw) Szymanski.
Relatives present came from Chicago and Oak Park, Illinois, Minneapolis, Hopkins
and Laverne, Minnesota, Milwaukee, Oshkosh, Eau Claire, Stanley, Lublin and
Thorp, Wisconsin, and Jacksonville, North Carolina.
