The Rev. Douglas R. Groenewold officiated at the double-ring nuptial ceremony August 20 at St. John's Lutheran Church, Withee, where Miss Debra Jean Mueller was given in marriage by her parents Mr. and Mrs. Ben Mueller, Withee, to James William Peterson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Peterson of Curtiss. Soloist was Barbara Scherrer, Burlington, and organist was Sonia Groenewold.

Mrs. Sandy Hartley of Milwaukee was matron of honor and Miss Lynn Zaczek, Burlington, the bridesmaid. Bill Chrostowski, Eau Claire, was best man and Bob Uecker, La Crosse, the groomsman. Ushering was Nancy Peterson.

The reception and dance were at Meadowview Country Club, Owen.

Both bride and bridegroom graduated in 1973 from Owen-Withee High School. They will live in Burlington School District. Her husband received a degree in park and recreation administration from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse.
