Wallace, Florence E. (21 August 1933 – 6 February 2023)

Florence E. Wallace, 89, of Beloit, died on Monday, February 6, 2023, at Willowick Assisted Living.

She was born on August 21, 1933, in Chicago, IL, the daughter of Werner and Edna (Scharf) Jahnke. Florence married Richard Wallace on October 9, 1954, in Granton. He predeceased her on November 14, 2018.

Florence was formerly employed by Freeman Shoe, Frito Lay, and at nursing homes as a CNA. She loved her pets dearly and enjoyed crocheting, gardening, and blueberry picking.

Survivors include her sons, Russell (Jennifer) Wallace of Rockton, IL, Matthew (Paula) Wallace of Beloit, WI; grandchildren, Noelle (Ryan) Meyer, Cara (Brent) Blood, and Danielle (Tyler) Bryant; great grandchildren, Bentley Blood, Jack Edward Blood IV, Deja Meyer, Devon Meyer, Cody Meyer, and Braden Meyer; daughter-in-law, Michelle Wallace; sister-in-law, Geraldine Scharf; brother-in-law, Butch Wallace; other relatives and friends.

She was predeceased by her parents; son, Michael Wallace; and brother, Donald Scharf.

Burial of Cremains for Florence and Richard will be held in Zion American Cemetery in Granton, WI at a later date. Daley Murphy Wisch & Associates Funeral Home and Crematorium, 2355 Cranston Rd., Beloit, WI, assisted the family with arrangements.
