Open house will be held for Mrs. Herman (Lena) Singstock at the Colby Hotel from 3 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, April 11, 1976. It is Mrs. Singstock’s 90th birthday.

A surprise birthday dinner was held in honor of Mrs. Herman (Lena) Singstock's 90th birthday on Sunday, April 11, 1976 at the Colby Hotel, given by her children, Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Singstock, Oshkosh, Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Singstock, Oshkosh, Mr. and Mrs. Melbert Singstock, Wausau, and Mrs. and Mrs. Rueben (Caroline) Landen, Madison.

Also in attendance were five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

An open house was held in the afternoon for relatives and friends.

The former Lena Hess was born April 8, 1886 in Ixonia.  She married Herman Singstock, May 10, 1905, in Colby.  They lived in the Colby area all their married life.  They were life long members of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Green Grove.

Mr. and Mrs. Singstock celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary in 1965.  Mr. Singstock passed away May 6, 1969.  They had five sons and one daughter.
