Are we all prepared for our trip to Mars?  That was the anticipated thrill and fear which fifty-three young people felt when we enrolled in the Greenwood High School in the fall of 1936.

After becoming firmly settled on this new planet, we found it rather interesting.  However, many were discontented to just be here, so they ventured farther into the new place.  A number were exploring basketball and football.  Others were lured by band or glee club, some thought forensics interesting; the various clubs were explored by some, and a few were on the honor roll of the adventurers.

Thus began the first part of our adventure under the leadership of Mr. Delos Walker, and our class officers, Vernon Mech, President; Gerald Neuenfeldt, Vice President; Elaine Buker, Treasurer; Kenneth Luther, Secretary; and Harry Behrens, Reporter.

As a continuation of our adventure we returned in 1937 to start new trails under the guidance of Miss Fuller and Mr. Hinkle.

This year we felt well acquainted with our field of work; we soon had an election of officers.  They were President, Robert Scheuring; Vice President, Gertrude Acker; Secretary and Treasurer, Elaine Buker; and Class Reporter, Shirley Gaylord.

Our searching party has decreased very much this year.  We have only thirty-eight members, but as our "perilous" adventure is half finished, those of us who are still interested in the exploration feel that we have attained a high standard and hope to keep it up.
