PAVILION AT LYNN IS RAZED BY FIRE

Stucture Burns to the Ground Early Sunday Morning - Loss $2,000

(By: News-Herald Correspondent- September 24, 1939)

LYNN -- The Lynn Pavilion, owned by Arthur Grassman, was destroyed by fire of unknown origin between 2:30 and 3:00 a.m. Sunday.  A dance had been held in the Pavilion Saturday night, and Mr. Grassman had left the building about 1:30 a.m. Sunday. He was unable to account for the outbreak of fire in the building. The flames were not observed until they were beyond control.  The loss was estimated at about $2,000. A new gas stove, two beverage coolers, and other fixtures were destroyed with the building. Mr. Grassman said only a small amount of insurance was carried.
