The Highground to celebrate Independence Day

The Highground will celebrate Independence Day with fireworks Friday, July 2, and a ceremony Sunday, July 4, 2010.

Once again, The Highground will present the colors and celebrate the freedom service people provided by keeping the country free.

The Liberty Bell will toll, and flags will fly Sunday, July 4, at 10 a.m.

Korean Veteran Bob Berglund will speak prior to the reading of the names of Wisconsin soldiers killed in Iraq and Afghanistan.  A firing squad will be at The Highground, and taps will be played to honor those who served for everyone who lost their lives.

Come join The Highground to celebrate the 4th of July at 10 a.m. Sunday.

At dusk Friday, July 2, The Highground will have a wonderful display of fireworks, sponsored by Hardee?s, which will also provide ice cream treats.  Donations are appreciated.

Volunteers and contributors are the heart of The Highground, whose mission is healing and education.

?The Highground is a place for all of us.?
