Jim Pfalzgraf has owned the Thorpedo for 41 ½ years.  He met Judy Potocnik from Owen-Withee while she was working for Thorp Finance.  “It was Kismet,” said Judy.  They married forty years ago this May and have been working side by side ever since. The employees of the Thorpedo surprised Jim and Judy with a farewell party on Thursday, April 19.   Judy said now that they are retired they look forward to doing a little bass fishing and finished projects around the house, but first they are working hard to get the new owners situated in the community.  Jim and Judy bid farewell to the Thorpedo on Sunday, April 22.   “It was bittersweet,” said Judy about saying goodbye to everyone.  Jim and Judy will be staying in the community and will have a little more time to enjoy the community functions they have missed so much.
