The Thorp VFW Post 9057 conducted services at several small cemeteries in the rural Thorp and Stanley area on Memorial Day.  A poppy is placed, a prayer is said, the veterans’ names are read, a twenty-one gun salute is given and taps played by Billy Ciolkosz ends the program.  After several years the word has spread and many local people are beginning to attend, which is much appreciated by the veterans’ organization.  Pictured are: Front Row (L-R) Rob Schesel, Fuzzy Posda, Ron Osowski, Buck Schultz, and Jeff Milz.  Back Row: Fred Baehr, Sam Borowski, Bill Buss, Alvin Graski and Jim Buss.
