pictureThe family of Janet Ann Ciolkosz thanks you: If you sent a card, memorial, attended the wake/funeral service, baked/cooked, gave us a hug, prayed for us, just listened to us, or wept with us. We are very grateful for your kindness and your caring.

We feel deep gratitude to the Community of Thorp which Mom supported by selling raffle tickets for various fund raisers and TCS calendars, working for various church programs (PCCW), serving on various city boards, her places of employment such as ITT, starting up First Federal through Associated Bank (now Forward Financial), Doboy Feed Mill and the many opportunities-events Jan participated in.  Mom was always positive to whatever came her way.

Having ovarian cancer may have slowed her down but never stopped her from living!  If Jan was asked to help out with a project, it was considered done when she said, “Yes.”

We appreciate all of you who supported our Mom with cards, flowers, telephone calls, baking/cooking, taking walks/exercising, driving Mom to Marshfield for chemo appointments, and driving her to meetings and church.  Also, to Mom’s great neighbors who watched over her by caring for her house, mowing the lawn, shoveling snow, bringing over fresh fish, etc…. We THANK YOU.  To all of Janet’s family: Dean, Melvin, Vic and Yvonne and their families – you brought great joy to Mom’s life especially during her time in the hospital and recuperating.  Janet’s 70th Birthday Party was a fantastic time for all of us to celebrate her life: a blessing God gave to us, to know Janet.

A hero is someone who has made such an impact on your life that you yourself feel loved and feel important.  On December 12th our hero, Janet, would have celebrated her 71st birthday.  We ask all of you to remember Jan’s birthday by doing something for someone else; send a card, visit, bake, do a task without payment, smile often, hug often….!  Please take time to help somebody else feel better about themselves.  Encourage them in some way; make them feel important; help them to know that somebody cares.  Always pray for others.  Jan “walked the talk”!  Her life exemplifies the Love of the Lord. Amen.

We miss Mom dearly but will keep her memory going through a fund in honor of her: Janet Ann’s Caring Hands.  (As our Mom would say: “I Hope You Dance” by Leann Womack).

With gratitude,
Kathleen, James, Kaoru and Kanna Ciolkosz
