On Saturday, July 3, the Thorp Alumni Association, Inc. along with the Thorp and neighboring communities gathered at St. Hedwig’s for their open house event.  Scott Merrier and other members of the Merrier family took the crowds through the church, showing them the advancing refurbishments, including the brand new roof that the Hands Foundation was able to install this year.  The crowds enjoyed the donated refreshments as they walked through, snapping pictures of the local landmark, and hearing all that is in the plan to turn St. Hedwig’s into a recording studio and a media library, stocked with recorded stories of people’s memories of St. Hedwig’s
