Greetings To Thorp Alumni

Annual All-Thorp Alumni Reunion

The annual All-Thorp Alumni Reunion is all set for Saturday, July 1, 2006 at Thorp High School. We have another exciting weekend planned and hope you will be joining us.

Take advantage of the opportunity to visit the Alumni Memorabilia Display and the Alumni Art Gallery in the multi-purpose room at Thorp High School. In addition, the Thorp Historical Society Museum will also be open. You are also invited to the high school for the social hour from 4:00 – 5:00 p.m., the dinner from 5:00-6:00 p.m., and the alumni program from 6:00-7:00 p.m. The alumni afterglow at Cindy’s begins at 8:00 p.m. and will include dancing until midnight. (Feel free to bring our favorite CD and we will play it for your listening and dancing pleasure.)

We will have an alumni chorus again this year. Rehearsal will be at 7:00 on Friday evening, June 30, at the high school. Everyone is welcome to participate in the chorus. The group will prepare three or four songs to sing following the alumni dinner on Saturday. This proved to be a very popular event at last year’s reunion. Please join us for this fun time.

The alumni letter and dinner reservation forms were sent out in early April. If by chance you did not receive one, please email us at: thorpalumni@gmail.com , call 715-669-3698, or send a note to TAA, PO Box 75, Thorp, WI 54771.

NOTE: The Thorp Alumni weekend includes anyone who attended grade school or high school in Thorp, not just THS graduates.

TAA Scholarship Program

One of the most important functions of the TAA is the Scholarship Program. Currently four $300 scholarships are awarded to THS seniors who are pursuing post high school education and degrees. Since its inception this program has awarded over 80 scholarships to deserving students. This is a wonderful way to give back to your school. Send donations to the TAA Scholarship Fund. The 2006 TAA scholarship recipients will be announced in the alumni column in the June 7th issue of The Thorp Courier.

Alums, We Need Your Help!

The TAA has been unsuccessful in contacting the following THS graduates using the most current address available to us. If you recognize any of these alums and know their address (or could get their current address for us), email the information to us at thorpalumni@gmail.com , call 715-669-3698, or mail it to TAA, PO Box 75, Thorp, WI 54771. Your help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
