Taxpayers and residents of the territory hereinafter described, hereby give notice that we will on Monday, March 13, 1893, or as soon thereafter as counsel can be heard apply to the Circuit Court for Clark County, State of Wisconsin, for an order incorporating as a Village to be known as the Village of Thorp, the territory situated in the towns of Thorp and Withee in Clark County, State of Wisconsin, embraced within the following described boundary line.

Cords, who went to Milwaukee on Monday of last week to consult with physicians regarding the state of his health, died at his father’s residence in that city on Saturday afternoon last.  Mr. Cordes became a resident of this village in 1888, starting a cigar manufactory, which business he has followed here ever since.
