J. B. Taylor of Marshfield contemplates operating the coal kilns located here in the interest of the Ashland Blast Furnace Co.  $1.25 will be the amount paid for cordwood.

Jos. Klauk is erecting a saloon building 24x50 feet in size on his corner lot in Stanley.  Gus Tegelman is the architect and builder.  The structure will be two stories high.
 
Dr. Selden reports the birth of twins, boy and girl, on Sat. last to Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Robinson of Eidsvold; Also a daughter to Mr. and Mrs. L. Hilbo.

A daughter was born to Mr. and Mrs. Jos. F. Jager on Thursday, November 11th.
 
Louis Kaczor was elected adjutant of Cecil Tormey Post No. 118 of the American Legion at a special meeting held on Thurs. evening last to fill the vacancy left by Stanley Glamkowski, resigned.
 
Miss Nora Leibole, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. M. Leibole, of this village, and Mr. Roy Gibbs, of Purewater, Mont., were united in marriage at Glendive, Mont., on November 3rd.  They will reside at Purewater where Mr. Gibbs operates a large sheep ranch.
 
The marriage of Miss Alvina Glowacki and Mr. Ira Barnum was solemnized at Eau Claire on Thur. Nov. 18.
 
Miss Doris V. Mosher, daughter of Mr. and (Mrs.) T. O. Mosher and Carvel G. Gurholt, son of Mr. and Mrs. Martin Gurholt, were united in marriage in the home of Rev. Tully, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church, Eau Claire, on Wednesday, November 17, 1920.

Gilman – A baby boy was born to Mr. and Mrs. Tom Kornesczuk, Monday.
 
Lone Oak – Born to Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Baehr, a seven pound baby girl at the Marshfield Hospital on Nov. 18th.
 
South Worden – Mr. and Mrs. Fred Roberts are the proud parents of a 9 ½ pound son born Nov. 25 at the Victory Hospital.
 
Yellow River – A six and one-half pound son was born to Mr. and Mrs. Joe Harroth on Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 22 at Ladysmith Hospital, the latter will be remembered as Hazel Bolstead, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ole Bolstead.

John Fryza, 81, Lublin, passed away on Monday, Nov. 23.
 
Mrs. Frank Hoffman, 74, died suddenly, Tues. Nov. 24.
 
Wednell (Wendell) E. Markham, 37, route 3, Cadott, formerly of Thorp, was killed Saturday when his car struck a culvert along CTH G about 12 miles north of Augusta.
 
The Daughters of American Revolution Good Citizen’s Contest is opened only to girls in the senior classes of accredited high schools.   Sue Keating, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Keating, has been chosen as this year’s recipient representing Thorp High School.
 
William L. Hanley, 84, Stanley, died Thursday afternoon at Victory Memorial Hospital.
 
Anthony E. Balicki passed away suddenly November 17th in St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield.
 
A Concelebrated Mass was offered Thursday at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, for Mrs. Julius (Marie C.) Kondrasuk, 63 Marshfield, who died Tues. at Neillsville Memorial Hospital.

John Orzechowski, 71, Thorp, died Monday, November 25, 1985.
 
Joan M. Kotecki, daughter of Mr. Anthony Kotecki and the late Evelyn Kotecki, Thorp and David R. Roubal, son of Ernest and Bernice Roubal, Thorp, exchanged wedding vows on Oct. 26, 1985 at St. Bernard’s-St. Hedwig’s Church.
 
Calvin Clarence Pawlak, 59, Withee, was dead on arrival at the Colby Clinic, Wed. Nov. 13, 1985 of an apparent heart attack. 
 
Paul Kaz, son of Mr. and Mrs. James Kaz, Thorp, completed 8 weeks basic training with the U. S. Army in Fort Dix, New Jersey.  He is now attending machinist schooling in Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland.
