Way Back When

Who was this hard-working man who appears to be a type of machine operator?  What was his career and what might this be in the background behind him?  Did he work and live in Thorp throughout his life?  Let us know if you can identify this man and would like to share what you know and remember.

We received a call from Eileen Bogumill-Frenette in relation to last week’s photo, and she shared with us that she thinks the girl in the graduation photo was Pauline “Polly” Stoker-Reublin who was a 1924 graduate of THS and was Eileen’s aunt.  There was another call regarding the picture, and Joe Slota from Chippewa Falls is pretty sure the girl in the picture was Victoria Moore.  If you can shed some light on which this mystery girl was, we would enjoy hearing from you.

For more information on this week's photo, check next week's column.
