Way Back When

 The Thorp Courier  --   August 6, 2008

This week, we feature the second of the three old photos from one-time Thorp photographer T. J. Jones. This one features a well-dressed young girl standing at a gate, possibly to some sort of a garden. It is unknown whether or not she is related to the Monroe couple in the first of this photo set, as featured in last week’s issue. Do you recognize the girl in this photo? Do you know where it was taken, or around what time? Please share any information you have with us and our readers.

In the July 23, 2008 issue of the Thorp Courier, we presented a picture of two young women on a piece of farm equipment. This photo was brought in by one of our staff members here. The two are Helen Pfieffer and Pauline Haas. The picture was of the haying season in 1955.

For more information on this photo, check next week's column.
