Way Back When

 The Thorp Courier  --   September 17, 2008

Four young men with very similar haircuts and clothing styles stand singing, while a woman plays the piano in accompaniment.  Does anyone know when or where this picture was taken?  Can you identify any of the people in the photograph?  Please let us know and we will pass on any information to our readers.

In our August 27, 2008 issue, we featured a picture of a roomful of young men and women in fine clothes holding rolled-up certificates of some kind.  This picture has been identified by Marge Sonnentag as the May 1927 graduation ceremony from St. Bernard’s School.  Standing from left to right the people are Dolores Micke, Delton Ebben, Harriet Beller, Philip Oriessen, and Eleanor Schmidt.  Seated left is Raymond Schmidt, and seated right is Father Muckerheide.
