Put on your bowling shoes, it’s time to compete! This week’s Way Back When photo brings us five women who are participating in the WWBA Days Bowl Tournament. The photo, taken in 1966 at the tournament in Wausau, is an official team photo. The five women pose with their colorful bowling balls behind a pedestal that announces the date and place of the photo, along with a small moniker that reads “GREB’S.” Do you know who any of these women are or how they placed in the 1966 tournament? Last week’s Way Back When photo showed a group of six men in a wide variety of attire grouped together, but the reason and year were unknown. It has been identified that the picture was taken on election night in November 1938 at the old Thorp Town Hall. Three of the men were identified as Walt Mattson, Ben Burkart and Ev Stark. |
