Palzer, Anna (27 Jan 1856 - 13 Mar 1937)

Mrs. Anna Palzer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Sanz, was born on Jan. 27, 1856 in Austria and passed away at the Home of the Aged in Milwaukee at 11:15 a.m. Saturday, March 13, 1937. She had been ill only three days with pneumonia.

Mrs. Palzer came to the United States when 12 years of age, the family settling in Baltimore, Md. They later came to Two Rivers where she was united in marriage to Charles Palzer in 1880. Their first home was in Wausau, later moving to Two Rivers and Milwaukee, coming to Greenwood, Clark County 26 years ago, residing on a farm in West Eaton.

Four children were born to this union, Anton, who died in infancy, Molly, Mrs. George Albright, who passed away April 17, 1932, Leo and Mary, Mrs. S.B. Flagg of the town of Eaton.

She is survived by her son Leo, daughter Mrs. S.B. Flagg, 9 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren and many other relatives.

The body was brought to Greenwood Monday morning to the Schiller Funeral Parlors. On Wednesday March 17, a Requiem Mass was said at St. Mary’s Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m., Rev. Father J.J. Novak officiating. The body was laid to rest in the Catholic Cemetery.
