Deutsch, Amelia (Marriage - 29 Apr 1908)

Mr. Robert Chambers of Holcomb, Wis., and Miss Amelia Deutsch were married at the home of the bride’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Deutsch, in this city (Neillsville, Clark County), Wednesday forenoon, April 29, 1908, Rev. H.A. Risser of Prentice officiating. The groom’s sister, Miss Doris Chambers acted as bridesmaid and the groom was accompanied by Mr. Gustav Deutsch, the bride’s brother. The wedding was a very quiet one; besides the bride’s relatives the only guests present being the groom’s mother, Mrs. Mary Chambers and his sister, Miss Doris Chambers.

After the ceremony a wedding dinner was served, after which the newly wedded couple took the 11:33 train for their new home, which will be at Flambeau, Wis., where the groom has a good position as engineer in a mill. While a stranger to most of us here he is a young man of fine appearance and excellent reputation. The bride was born and brought up here, graduated from the city high school, taught successfully in the country and graded schools of this and other counties, and has by her good sense, her kindness and helpfulness to her parents and her assistance in a womanly way in church, and religious work and fraternal associations, established herself in the respect and good will of all who know her. To the new home which they will establish go the best wishes of Neillsville people.
