Smith, Eunice E. (9 Dec 1927 - 11 Jul 2002)

Eunice E. Smith, 74, Neillsville, died on Thursday, Jul 11, 2002, at the Memorial Home, Neillsville. Funeral services were held on Sunday, Jul 14, at the United Church of Christ. The Rev. James Mohr officiated. Music was provided by Ertz Steiger and Deon Spangler. Burial was in the Marie Chapel Cemetery, Christie. Pallbearers were Norman Thompson, Brian Thompson, Henry Kurz, Mike Kurz, Ray Kurz, Corey Kurz and Dougley Schnitzler.

Eunice E. Smith was born on Dec. 9, 1927, in Ladysmith, to Lloyd H. and Audrey (nee Abbitt) Smith. She received her education at Riverdale School near Sheldon and Hannibal High School, and graduated from Loyal High School in 1946. She married Arthur Anderson in January 1947. They lived in Marshfield, where she was employed at Weinbrenner Shoe Factory for 25 years. She married Carlo Smith in Nashville, Tenn., in 1975. She was a member of the United Church of Christ, Neillsville, American Legion Auxiliary #0161, and Royal Neighbors.

Survivors include two sons, Bartlee A. (April) Anderson, Villa Park, Ill., and Stanley W. (Deborah) Anderson, Waterbury, Conn.; three grandchildren; two nieces, Ann Thompson and Christine Kurz; and two nephews, Dale and Wayne Turville.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her two husbands; and one sister, Helena Turville.

Buchanan Funeral Home, Neillsville, assisted the family with arrangements.
