Lehmann, Edna M. (3 May 1924 - 9 Augl 2002)

Edna M. Lehmann, 95, Granton, died on Friday, Aug. 9, 2002, at Northern Lights Health Care Center, Washburn. Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m., on Thursday, Aug. 15, at the Gesche Funeral Home, Neillsville. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m., on Friday, Aug. 16, at Zion Lutheran Church, Granton. The Rev. John Trewyn will officiate. Burial will be in Windfall Cemetery, Granton. Edna M. Brumm was born on Jul 24, 1907, in Birnamwood, to Mr. and Mrs. George Brumm. She attended school there and married William Lehmann on May 3, 1924, in Kenosha. They spent the majority of their married life in Granton. She worked for the Granton Public School System as an employee in the school lunch program for more than 30 years, until her retirement in 1986. She was an active member of Zion Lutheran Church as a Sunday school teacher, Ladies Aid member, Women’s Missionary League member, adult Bible study group member, and Quilting Circle member. She was also an active member of the community, belonging to many service organizations such as the Romadka Homemaker’s Club and the Sunshine Girls. Her interests included flowers and music. Survivors include three sons, Raimon Lehmann, Fairfax, Va., James Lehmann, Louisville, Ky., and Elroy Lehmann, Dallas, Texas; four daughters, Dolores (Rudolph) Dageforde, St. Paul, Minn., Jun (Gene) Miller, New London, Minn., Gladys (Melvin) Smith, Appleton, and Carole (Gene) Qualle, Bayfield; 15 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; one sister, Marie Umland, Birnamwood; and one brother, Arthur Brumm, Mattoon. Preceding her in death were her husband, William, on Sept.17, 1981; two sisters; and one son-in-law.

Gesche Funeral Home, Neillsville, assisted the family with arrangements.
